A beautiful place in the middle of the forest, completely secluded and surrounded by lovely nature. Around the treehouse there is forest, a meadow and, above all, wonderful peace and quiet. We stayed here as a family with children and all of us thoroughly enjoyed it. We took a walk in the area and met almost no one, which was exactly what we were looking for. It is an ideal place to relax, switch off from everyday noise and recharge in nature. The owners are very kind and pleasant. Thank you for a wonderful stay; we will certainly be happy to return. ❤️

Surrounded by nature
The treehouse stands directly in the forest, one kilometre from the village and six metres above the ground. There is no traffic noise, city light or smog. Large windows keep you close to the woodland, while the terrace rests among the crowns of five beech trees.
A peaceful retreat
Sit six metres above the ground with a warm cup of tea, or lie in the meadow and watch the stars and meteors. Beech, spruce, birch, fir, alder and oak trees surround you, along with squirrels, deer and countless birds.
Time with good people
Come with your partner, family or friends. Spend the evening by the fire, play the guitar, share a glass of wine and watch the sparks rise into the night sky above the forest.

Your stay in the trees
Spend a day and night in a treehouse six metres above the ground. When the wind blows, the gentle movement feels a little like being in a boat, while you remain warm and safe behind the large windows. The terrace has a table and chairs for breakfast or dinner. Breakfast is delivered in a basket for you to pull up on a rope.
The treehouse has 18 m² of indoor floor space and a 22 m² terrace. Its large insulated windows cover 12 m². There is seating indoors and outside, a single gas hob for simple cooking, a portable cooler, a camping shower for longer stays, a sawdust toilet inside and a wooden latrine on the ground. The 12 V system provides lighting and phone or laptop charging. The bunk-style double bed sleeps two below and two above. Bedding, blankets, board games, a firepit, 20 litres of drinking water and a varied breakfast are available.
How the treehouse was built – Our aim was not to build a cabin on posts, but directly on living trunks, so you can feel the gentle movement of the trees. It is one of the tallest treehouses in Slovakia, reaching ten metres at its highest point. The forest floor remains open for wildlife, and the structure uses only wood, iron, glass and stone. The surrounding hundred-year-old beech and spruce forest has been protected from logging so that future generations can enjoy it. Come to rest, reconnect with nature and experience forest bathing.

The nearest restaurants are Pizzeria Prego in Hrochoť (1.4 km) and Pizzeria Kavalier in Čerín (4 km).

Water activities: Sliač spa and swimming pool (17 km), Kováčová spa and HolidayPark (20 km), pools in Banská Bystrica (18 km), and the reservoir, Orlík pool and swimming pool in Zvolen (21 km).
Castles and culture: Zvolen Castle, Slovenská Ľupča Castle, Vígľaš Castle, Pustý hrad, the churches of Čerín and Poniky, Hronsek wooden church, the SNP Museum and cathedral in Banská Bystrica.
Nature: Poľana Protected Landscape Area, the Low Tatras and Veľká Fatra national parks, the Štiavnické vrchy mountains and the Bystré waterfall.

I highly recommend it: beautiful nature, complete peace all around, a wonderful treehouse and very kind owners. Communication was easy, and they accommodated us with a makeshift shower and a portable refrigerator. The breakfast in a basket was also delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole stay and can certainly imagine coming back in another season.

This was probably the highlight of our holiday. Even when things became complicated, the owners’ helpfulness made it manageable. We recommend it one hundred per cent, and definitely for at least two nights. The surroundings are wonderful, and the cosy treehouse had everything our family needed. Breakfast was first-rate, with something in the basket for everyone. We plan to return in the future.

You feel like a child whose dream has come true. The evening rain drumming on the roof made the experience even stronger. If you are not looking for all-inclusive luxury but authenticity, you will find it here. We have no complaints and will gladly return.
Beautiful surroundings and so much peace compared with the city. A pleasant evening on the terrace with magnificent scenery, and peaceful walks nearby without difficult terrain. The hosts are very accommodating and do everything they can to make the experience enjoyable. The style and construction are also very interesting and attractive.

Rates and booking
The rate is per night for the entire treehouse. The permitted combinations are: one adult with up to four children, two adults with three children, three adults with one child, or four adults without children. The child age range in the form is 0–17 years.
Spring (1. 4. – 31. 5.) – €140 (10% discount for two or more nights)
Easter stay (3. 4. – 6. 4.) – €150 (10% discount for two or more nights)
Summer season (1. 6. – 30. 9.) – €140 (10% discount for two or more nights)
Autumn (1. 10. – 30. 11.) – €140 (10% discount for two or more nights)
Winter season (1. 12. – 31. 3.) – €150 (10% discount for two or more nights)
Christmas stay (23. 12. – 25. 12.) – €160, minimum 2 nights
New Year stay (26. 12. – 3. 1.) – €190, minimum 2 nights
Booking has two steps:
1. Contact us by email, SMS or the enquiry form so we can confirm your dates.
2. Pay for the stay after we confirm availability.
We will agree the exact arrival arrangements with you; arrival is normally after 2:00 pm.
Holiday rates are higher because staffing costs are higher on public holidays.
Cancellation fee: 30% when cancelled 30 days or less before arrival, 50% when cancelled 15 days or less before arrival, and 80% when cancelled five days or less before arrival. New Year bookings have stricter terms: 30% at 50 days or less, 50% at 30 days or less, and 90% at 15 days or less before arrival.
Getting here
By car: In the village of Čerín, between Zvolen and Banská Bystrica, turn towards Hrochoť and park near the beginning of Hrochoť.
From there, the treehouse is about a 900-metre walk along a forest path.
Hrochoť is also served by buses.
